The third set of emotions from MettelRay‘s awesome Breaking Emotions blogathon came out last monday! For the first time i manage to post this one quite promptly :D For the last installment of emotions, we got Hate and Love!
I had quite a hard time coming up with movies i hate, because there’s a lot of thing i dislike, but hate is much stronger sentiment in my opinion. So i came up with several different things instead.
On the other hand it’s so easy to name movie that i love! So i decided to use similar method with the Hate and came up with things i specifically love in a movie to watch.
03 The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones (2013)
I thought Twilight saga is the most absurd Young Adult book that is being adapted to films there is. But apparently not, there’s a new level of crappyness when it come to The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones. The whole movie is just a hot jumbled mess, not to fault the movie itself but to fault the source material, imho. At least Twilight did not pretend to be something it’s not. In the case of Cassandra Clare and The Mortal Instrument, this is fanfic pretending to be an epic.
02 Kick Ass 2 (2013)
That ill rape joke. It’s very, very rare that a rape joke could be funny. And the one found in Kick Ass 2 was extremely insensitive, offensive, and misogynistic. Ugh, cant even!
01 12 Years A Slave (2013)
Michael Fassbender was brilliant in the supporting role as the hateful antagonist of the film, Edwin Epps, the owner of cotton field that tortured slaves as his favorite pastime.
03 Inception (2010)
“You mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling” Eames drawled to Arthur in 2010 Inception. There’s something about this line that i really, really love. Probably the delivery, probably the context and the smart puns to the condition. Probably Tom Hardy…
02 Les Amours Imaginaires (2010)
Xavier Dolan’s sophomore feature films, Les Amours Imaginaires/Heartbeats is one of my favorite films. I think one of the things that made me so fond of the film is the slo-mo with Dalida’s Bang Bang playing in the background during some of the key scenes that just enriches the film.
01 Don Jon (2013)
Don Jon appeal to me on multiple level. I love the style, the cast, the theme, and the energy! One of my favorite part of it is the gorgeous Scarlett Johanson as the gum-clacking Barbara Sugarman and talk in that New Jersey accent! The movie is such a joy to watch and I just had such a good time watching her! XD
This entry is the fourth and final installment out of four-part series of 2013 Breaking Emotion Blogathon.
